This weeks deck is a post September rotation ready and upgrade to the most recent battle league deck inteleon v.
I wanted this list to be featured first for its simplicity and ability to show off staples such a Marnie which is one of the only options available for hand disruption once rotation hits.
Strengths of the deck/ This deck has the ability to inflict spread damage the vmax inteleon allows you to hit 160 to the active and 60 to a bench pokemon of your choice which can allow some amazing versatility when lining up future knock outs. This deck also has built in energy denial which can set your opponent back a turn which can completely shake up the the game in your favor in the form of the vmax's first attack. Frostmoth is an amazing addition to the deck with its ability that allows you to attach as many water energy cards from your hand to any of your benched water pokemon you like in your turn which allows you to quickly set up another vmax in no time in combination with the capacious bucket(allows you to search your deck for two water energys) .
Flaws of the deck/ This deck can suffer from having not enough damage output, some of the latest decks to see competitive play such as shadow rider calyrex and rapid strike urshifu have the ability to hit huge damage in the early turns of the game which leads to this deck getting out run in the long game on prize's. The deck also suffers from consistence issues as not having any draw built in such as calyriders ability which allows you to draw two so stuck with a dead hand in this deck REALLY DOES HURT. The main attack requires three energy which is not an issue in most cases especially when you have frostmoth but missing an energy for turn with this deck can be fatal.
synopsis/ This deck is an amazing starting point for someone looking to join semi-competitive play and offers a wide range of mechanics the game has to offer such as energy acceleration and denial PLUS who doesn't want to beat a charizard player.
